I was very close to going that route, but then I stopped. A character needs to earn some kind of power up, but next chapter he will get the next best thing.  

More creatures on the way! The spiders are only objects, i cant actually move them, but when viewed at different angles and sizes, it adds to the illusion. Using/getting monsters for vrm models is tedious, but possible. Whats a Sci fi, alien planet story without creatures?
